Yo-Yo KVTV! After the spring lockdown, we were finally back on a real exhibition in a museum and visited the Fantastic Women in the Schirn Kunsthalle . After the exhibition was closed due to corona, the narrow exhibition rooms were now flooded again by art-hungry visitors. The show features around 260 works by female artists from the last century. Among them we found well-known faces and works by Frida Kahlo and Louise Bourgeois as well as real discoveries like the sometimes shrill and bright paintings by Leonor Fini, which delighted our spirits. All in all, we were surprised how diverse "female" surrealism has been and are now of course wondering if there aren't 1000 times more works by forgotten artists and when they will finally show up in the big museums.
