On 12.06.2021 from 2pm to 8pm, Lena Bakonalim and Lady Bubu Tea await you for a Rendezvouz in the Grüne Lunge.

Two performances in front of the green backdrop open up encounters between audience and performers in a small circle that allows space for intimacy and exchange.

Lena Bakonalim performs with the use of classical singing, costume and improvisation. Aware of dynamics of exchange between audience and performer, Bakonalim creates intimate spaces that can open up new access to embodied knowledge. The artist works on solo projects as well as together with the collectives Baby of Control and Opencreek and has been visible with projects at MMK Frankfurt, Mousonturm, MAK Frankfurt, Kapelle Offenbach, Futur3 Festival and Lala Festival.

Lady Bubu Tea conceives multimedia settings through the use of sound, installation and her own body. Boundaries, fluidity, non-binary, violation, vulnerability and healing are contents that Lady Bubu Tea reveals and negotiates directly along her own body. Influenced by the work of artists Lady Gaga and Marina Abramovic, Lady Bubu Tea combines a radical approach to the body with pop cultural aesthetics. As part of the collective Opencreek, Lady Bubu Tea has been featured in projects at MAK Frankfurt, Kapelle Offenbach, queerfem*festival, Lala Festival, Taipei Arts Festival (Taiwan) and Xi Yuan Art Museum, Taoyuan (Taiwan).

The exhibition is part of the project The White Hut and is funded by the Hessische Kulturstiftung.

The White Hut was realised as an intervention by artist Yana Tsegay at the invitation of KVTV for the OADE#2.
